The FP6290 is a current mode boost DC-DC converter.Its PWM circuitry with built-in 0.2Ωpower MOSFET makes this converter highly power efficiently. Selectablehigh switching frequency allows faster loop responseand easy filteringwitha low noise output. The non-inverting input itserror amplifier is connectedto aninternal 1.24V precision reference voltage.Soft-Start time can beprogrammed with an external capacitor, which sets the input current ramp rate. Currentmode control andexternal compensation network make it easy and flexible to stabilizethe system.The FP6290 isavailable inthe MSOP-8L package. Combined with low ESR capacitors, it reducedPCB space for step-up applications.
