MAC Solenoid Valve 55B-22-PE-501JMI installed this and a natural gas regulator on a 75,000 btu Bryant unit heater from the middle 70’s. This valve seems to work perfect. It is fairly quiet except for sometimes the metal cover contacts the coil and creates an electrical buzzing noise. This is easily fixed by just bending the black metal cover. For the price I can’t really complain. If you use this for gas like I did then make sure that you have some sort of thermocouple safety installed so that this valve will not open unless a pilot light is on and the pilot flame is burning properly.HelpfulUnhelpful - M
