[Case] Air conditioner compressor does not work after Mitsubishi Pajero overhaul Failure phenomenon: The Mitsubishi Pajero off-road vehicle uses a 6G72 engine. The air-conditioning compressor does not work after the car is overhauled and the condenser fan cannot run. Troubleshooting: According to the circuit diagram (as shown in the figure), first find the air conditioner compressor clutch relay and condensing fan relay, touch the two relays with your hand, and turn on the air conditioner switch and the blower switch at the same time. It feels that the relay does not operate. Then unplug the two relays, and check that both relays have main power supply voltage and no control terminal voltage, and artificially short the pins 1-3 of the two relays, and find that the fan and compressor clutch are working normally. This proves that there is a problem with their shared control power supply. Since the power of the two relays comes from the 1 pin of the air conditioner amplifier, and the normal output of the 1 pin of the air conditioner amplifier, two conditions are required: ① The air conditioner amplifier works. When the air conditioning switch is turned on, pins 3 or 5 have electricity, and pins 6 and 7 are grounded. ② Air conditioner fuse S1 is intact. Check that the air conditioner fuse S1 has blown. Replace one fuse again, the fuse burns again when the air conditioner is turned on. Insert a test pencil into the fuse holder, find the 10-pin air-conditioning amplifier behind the glove box, unplug it, the test pencil light goes out, indicating that the air-conditioning amplifier's circuit is intact before, the short-circuit point should be in the circuit and components after the air-conditioning amplifier . Then test the resistance of the air conditioner amplifier harness end pin l to ground is 0 Ω. To narrow the range, unplug 2 relays and measure the resistance of 1 pin to ground is still 0 Ω. Then check the coolant temperature control switch is normal (at the engine water inlet), check the relevant plug and found no problem, is the control unit internal short circuit to ground? The control unit was found on the front passenger side and an abnormality was found. The plug of the control unit is fastened to the bracket, and there are several lines with broken outer shells. After the dressing process, the test run is repeated, and the compressor and fan still do not work. At this time, the fuse is intact. Re-test the air conditioner amplifier 1 pin still has no 12 V voltage output. The analysis believes that the air conditioner amplifier may be burned due to the grounding of one foot. Remove the air conditioner amplifier, open the case, the circuit board has no burn marks. Use a multimeter to measure a PNP power transistor at the output of pin 1, which is burned out (e-b pole short circuit). Troubleshooting: Replace the PNP transistor with a similar parameter and try again. The compressor and condenser are working normally.
