1. Common problems and solutions of ice maker
1. The compressor is working but not cooling.
Reason: The refrigerant leaks or the two-way solenoid valve is damaged and it is not closed tightly.
Maintenance: repair the leak after leak detection and add refrigerant or replace the solenoid valve
2. The compressor keeps working to be able to refrigerate, and the water pump keeps working to pump water. The ice cubes are getting thicker, but it can't automatically enter the deicing program to drop the ice.
Reason: The water temperature probe is faulty, so that the intelligent control system cannot effectively sense the water temperature and work, misjudging the program error, or the controller failure.
Maintenance: Use a multimeter to measure the resistance of the water temperature probe (when the water temperature in the water tank is close to 0℃, unplug the three-core wire in the control box and test the resistance of the two wires on both sides), if the resistance is above 27K , It is judged that the controller is bad and should be replaced. If the resistance value is lower than 27K, you must disconnect any one of the two wires, and adjust the resistance value to between 27K and 28K by connecting resistors in series.
3. The machine enters the de-icing program (the water pump stops working, the compressor stops cooling) but the ice does not fall off.
Reason: The two-way solenoid valve is damaged.
Maintenance: Replace the solenoid valve body or outer coil.
4. The water shortage light is on but the machine does not automatically replenish water.
Reason: There is no water in the pipeline or the inlet solenoid valve is faulty and the valve does not open.
Maintenance: Check the water inflow of the pipeline, and restart the machine after opening the waterway if there is no water. If the water inlet solenoid valve is faulty, replace it.
5. The compressor is working but the pump has not been working (no running water)
Reason: The water pump is damaged or the internal scale of the water pump is blocked.
Maintenance: Clean the water pump or replace it.
2. Judge the fault according to the blinking of the indicator light
1. The power indicator light keeps flashing quickly and the machine does not work:
Fault: The water temperature probe is open.
Maintenance: Open the rear cover, open the electric control box cover above the compressor, find a three-core connector, check whether there is falling off or poor contact, and then reconnect it.
2, 3 ice seeds flashing cyclically, the machine does not work:
Malfunction: The machine is abnormal in ice making and de-icing;
Repair: reboot:
a. First check whether the fan and water pump are working properly. If there are any abnormalities, remove them first, and then check whether the compressor has started working. If there is no working, check the controller and compressor accessories; if they have started, judge the refrigeration system failure. Repair according to the corresponding repair method.
B. If the refrigeration system has no fault, the ice can be produced normally, but the ice has been produced without de-icing. After 90 minutes, the machine will self-determine that it is working abnormally and shut down for protection. Need to use a multimeter to measure the resistance of the water temperature probe (when the water temperature in the water tank is close to 0 degrees, unplug the three-core wire in the control box, and measure the resistance of the two wires on both sides), if the resistance is above 27K, then It is judged that the controller is bad and should be replaced. If the resistance is lower than 27K, you must disconnect any one of the two wires, and adjust the resistance to between 27K and 28K by connecting a resistor in series.
3. The ice full light flashes quickly.
Fault: It means that the deicing time exceeds the specified time, and the machine is automatically protected.
Maintenance:
A. Generally, in this case, restart the machine. If it happens repeatedly, check whether the skateboard swings up and down flexibly.
b. If the two-way solenoid valve is damaged, this phenomenon will also occur. The machine can be cooled, but when the ice cube reaches the set thickness and enters the deicing state, the water pump stops working and the ice cube does not fall off. Forced deicing is used during inspection (long pressing Select the button for 3 seconds). If there is no obvious airflow sound in the ice maker, the two-way solenoid valve is considered to be broken. You can first check whether the solenoid valve power supply is normal. If the power supply is normal, you can replace the coil and test the machine. The valve body itself cannot be opened. The situation is very rare.
C. There is no water in the water tank, no water shortage, loose ice cubes and impurities.
Maintenance: This failure is because there will be impurities in the water in the water tank after repeated ice making, or the water is rich in minerals, which makes the surface of the water level probe scale and affects the detection sensitivity of the probe. Drain the remaining water to clean the inside of the water tank and clean the surface of the probe.
4. There is water in the water tank, indicating water shortage.
Maintenance: Check whether the two-core and three-core connectors in the control box are reliably connected. Reconnecting can usually solve the problem.
5. The flow of the spray pipe is not smooth, and some ice cubes are incomplete.
Fault: The spray pipe hole is blocked;
Maintenance: In the ice-making state, use tweezers or other sharp objects to clean the debris on the water outlet holes on the sprinkler pipe until the water flow in each hole is unblocked.
6. The ice making is normal but it is difficult or not to remove the ice.
Fault: Two-way solenoid valve does not work or stuck;
Maintenance: After starting the ice maker, after ice cubes are produced on the ice maker, press and hold the select button for 3 seconds to enter the forced deicing state. Touch the solenoid valve by hand. If it does not vibrate, it means that the solenoid valve is not supplied normally. Check the control panel. And connection. If there is vibration, the ice can be repeatedly de-iced several times, which can solve the stuck problem of some solenoid valves. If the problem still exists, the solenoid valve is damaged and the solenoid valve needs to be replaced.
