How to check the compressor body for cracks

How to check the compressor body for cracks In winter, it is relatively common for compressors to crack. I believe many people have ideas to prevent this kind of problem. In fact, it is not impossible, as long as we conduct a detailed inspection of the compressor body during normal maintenance, this problem can be avoided. So, to prevent the occurrence of cracks in the compressor body, how do we check the compressor? There are two specific methods: Method 1: Penetrating kerosene method During the inspection, first wipe the body and cylinder head with a kerosene-soaked cotton yarn head, suspecting that there is a crack, and then use a dry cotton yarn head to wipe off the kerosene and immediately apply white powder. At this time, the cracked place, kerosene Penetrating the white powder, the location and length of the crack are clearly shown. Method 2: Water pressure method Hydraulic method is to check the crack location by increasing the cooling water pressure. In a repair shop with better equipment conditions, the hydraulic inspection is carried out on a special equipment-hydraulic tester. In units with poor equipment conditions, some of them use simple hand-pressed water pumps to make simple equipment. When checking, first block the water pipe joints of the machine body or cylinder head, and only connect one of the water pipe joints to the water outlet of the pump with a rubber tube. The upper plane of the machine body should be selected with a special cover plate of equivalent size, so that the cooling water cannot overflow. Then open the switch and press the water pump to make the water enter the cooling water jacket. After the switch is out of water, turn the switch off and continue to press the water pump to stop the water supply when the pressure gauge pointer reaches 3-4 atmospheres. At this time, you can carefully check the body, whether there is water leakage or seepage on the upper and lower inside and outside of the cylinder head. Check the cracks of the compressor by the above two simple methods. These two methods are simple ways to avoid cracks in the compressor body.
