The function and basic performance of the pressure reducing valve of the compressed air filter

The filter, pressure reducing valve and lubricator together form a pneumatic triplet. The filter is mainly responsible for filtering the liquid water, oil and impurities in the compressed air, the pressure reducing valve is mainly responsible for controlling the system pressure, and the oil mist device is responsible for the oil lubrication of the back-end components. Generally, the oil mist device is not used much, because there are many products that can be lubricated without oil, and the oil cleaner is not needed. The function of the compressed air filter: remove solid impurities, water droplets and dirty oil droplets in the compressed air, but cannot remove gaseous oil and water. According to the drainage method of the filter, there is a manual drainage type. The automatic drainage type has a normally open type and a normally closed type according to the drainage state when there is no air pressure. The function of the pressure reducing valve: The pressure reducing valve is an intelligent valve that uses the energy of the medium to adjust and control the pressure of the pipeline. The outlet pressure of the main valve can be adjusted through the pressure reducing pilot valve of the regulating valve. The outlet pressure does not change due to changes in the inlet pressure and the inlet flow rate. The outlet pressure is maintained safely and reliably at the set point, and the set value can be adjusted as needed to achieve the purpose of reducing pressure.

Basic performance of pressure reducing valve:

   (1) Pressure regulation range: It refers to the adjustable range of the output pressure P2 of the pressure reducing valve, within which the specified accuracy is required. The pressure regulating range is mainly related to the stiffness of the pressure regulating spring.

   (2) Pressure characteristic: It refers to the characteristic that the output pressure fluctuates due to the input pressure fluctuation when the flow g is a constant value. The smaller the output pressure fluctuation, the better the characteristics of the pressure reducing valve. The output pressure must be lower than the input pressure-the fixed value does not basically change with the input pressure.

   (3) Flow characteristics: It refers to the input pressure—timing, the persistence of the output pressure changing with the output flow. When the flow rate changes, the smaller the change in output pressure, the better. Generally, the lower the output pressure, the smaller the fluctuation of the output flow.
