The GP250-BG11 is one of the earliest HMI/graphic processors from ProFace Xycom. This user-configurable human machine interface has been sold by ProFace as part of the GP series since the early 1990s, and was one of the very first configurable operator interface options on the market. The GP250-BG11 is designed to be used in tough industrial settings not typically suitable for off-the-shelf commercial computers. The GP250-BG11 offers a monochrome display with a screen resolution of 320 by 240 dots per inch. Its effective display area is 96 mm by 72 mm. The unit uses a RS-232/RS-422 serial port to communicate with attached tools and equipment. This particular unit is not listed as having an alternative in Pro-Face s HMI Migration guide. The GP250-BG11 functions using a 24V DC power supply. The unit should be grounded properly during installation.
