YTS was founded in Tokyo, Japan in 1966, specializing in the manufacture and distribution of air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pumps. In addition to diaphragm pumps, YTS also manufactures pulsation dampers in a variety of sizes and materials. The original company name was Howa Keiki Seizousho, and in 1976, the company name was changed to YTS Co., Ltd. YTS means Yamada Technical Service.

Plastic pumps produced by YTS are made of glass fiber reinforced polypropylene, conductive polypropylene, conductive PVDF, conductive acetal, conductive PTFE, industrial PTFE and high purity PTFE. Its metal diaphragm pumps are made of aluminum, stainless steel 316, cast iron and Hastelloy.

All YTS pumps are designed and manufactured in Japan. Each pump goes through a series of tests including: vacuum pressure test, leak tests and pump operation tests before shipment to ensure proper performance and optimum leak-proof operation.
