American Meter Company (AMCO) is a subsidiary of the German company Elster. Elster has been committed to the research and development and production of high-quality gas metering and pressure regulating equipment. The main products produced by Elster are ultrasonic flowmeters, turbine flowmeters, membrane gas meters and high, medium and low pressure gas pressure regulating products.

Elster AMCO was acquired by Honeywell in July 2015. Elster AMCO meters are now sold under the Honeywell Smart Energy name/brand.
