The SP230ASeries are multi–channel RS-232 line drivers/receivers that provide a variety ofconfigurations to fit most communication needs, especially where ±12V is not available. Some modelsfeature a shutdown mode to conserve power in battery-powered systems. Some require no externalcomponents. All, except one model, feature a built-in charge pump voltage converter, allowing themto operate from a single +5V power supply. All drivers and receivers meet all EIA RS-232D and CCITTV.28 requirements. The Series is available in plastic DIP and SOIC packages.
