Application and quality standards of compressed air in textile industry

After several years of cold winter conditions, the textile industry began to pick up. Domestic and external demand grew at the same time, and there was even a need to expand. As the second largest power source after electricity, compressed air has been used in all aspects in the textile industry. More and more textile processes have been completed by pneumatic technology. It is currently widely used in fiber material transportation, rubber roller pressure, Mobile station, jet flow processing, jet flow automatic control technology, cleaning parts, etc.

What are the applications of compressed air in the textile industry?

The air-jet loom is the most air-consuming equipment in the textile industry. At the same time, compressed air is also required for air-coated yarn machines and texturing machines; in the chemical fiber industry, compressed air is also required for chip drying and transportation.

To The main production body of the air jet loom uses compressed air as the weft insertion carrier, which has strict requirements on the quality and pressure of the compressed air. Its working principle is to use air as the weft insertion medium to draw the weft yarns with the compressed air jets to generate frictional traction, take the weft yarns through the shed, and achieve the purpose of weft insertion through the jet generated by the air jet.

In order to ensure the normal operation of air-jet looms, the quality of compressed air used as a means of weft insertion is extremely important. The quality of compressed air directly affects product quality.

Textile industry compressed air quality standards and solutions

If impurities such as water, oil, dust, etc. appear in the compressed air during the production process, it will cause obvious pollution to the material, which is a very serious problem. The quality of compressed air is not only for the stable operation of weft insertion, but also for improving the sanitary condition of production.

Many links in textile production need to use compressed air, but each link has different requirements for compressed air quality, but as long as it meets the air source of the air jet loom, it can basically meet all the air needs of the entire production line. Textile products require clean, oil-free air, so oil-free screw compressors are more common in textile mills.

In the post-processing equipment, it is necessary to configure a precision filter and an adsorption dryer for purification treatment to purify solid impurities such as water and dust. The pressure dew point must reach -20°C and the solid particles must reach less than 1μm. Stable production and the harm to equipment products are reduced to a minimum.
