Summer chiller failure detection and solutions

The weather is getting hotter and hotter, and the industrial chillers of many factories ushered in the peak period of refrigeration. Frequent operation of refrigeration equipment is likely to have such and other small failures. Some chillers have passed the shelf life, and some are just minor problems. It is worth looking for a refrigeration company to solve it. Knowing more about the operation and maintenance of the chiller can help us solve the problem in time without delaying production and saving the cost of refrigeration equipment maintenance.

   1. When the high and low pressure of the chiller is higher than the normal pressure

Cause analysis: The reason for this is that there is air in the system or excessive refrigerant is added. Or poor heat dissipation, especially when the ambient temperature is relatively high.

Solution: The former needs to re-evacuate at this time, and then add an appropriate amount of refrigerant to solve the problem. The latter will try to clean the condenser fins.

  2. When the high and low pressure of the chiller are lower than normal pressure

Cause analysis: The reason for this may be that the refrigeration system is blocked, the blocked part has throttling, and there will be a significant temperature difference in the throttling part. The problem can be found by feeling it with your hands.

Solution: At this time, it is necessary to use the chiller detector to find out the leaking part and perform replacement.

  3. When the high pressure of the chiller is low and the low pressure is high, the chiller refrigeration will never achieve normal results.

Cause analysis: The cause is likely to be the wear and tear in the chiller pump, resulting in a drop in power.

Solution: At this time, the compressor needs to be replaced.

  4. When the chiller is working, the pressure gauge shakes, indicating that there is moisture in the system.

Solution: At this time, it is necessary to re-evacuate, and the pumping time shall not be less than a quarter of an hour. If necessary, it is best to change the drying filter to completely remove the water in the refrigeration system.
