The hazards and causes of high exhaust temperature of cold storage compressor

The discharge temperature of cold storage compressors should generally be 15~30℃ lower than the flash point of the lubricant, and not too high. Excessively high discharge temperature of the cold storage compressor will increase the oil temperature, reduce the viscosity of the oil and make it difficult to form an oil film, increase the wear and heat of moving parts; it is easy to carbonize and coke the lubricating oil, and cause the cylinder to fuzz or the valve to not work properly ; The overheating of the piston and cylinder reduces the gas transmission coefficient, which affects the gas transmission efficiency of the cold storage compressor, and the operation is uneconomical.

The general reasons for the excessively high discharge temperature of cold storage compressors are as follows:

  1) Insufficient cooling water or high water temperature of the cold storage compressor will cause the condensing pressure to be too high, and the discharge temperature of the cold storage compressor will also increase.

  2) The refrigerant charge is excessive, causing liquid accumulation in the condenser, reducing the cooling area and increasing the condensing pressure, and the discharge temperature of the cold storage compressor also increases.

  3) The exhaust valve plate or the safety cover is not tightly sealed, and the high and low pressure blow-by gas increases the exhaust temperature

  4) If the suction pressure is too low, the compression ratio will increase and the exhaust temperature will increase.

  5) The suction is overheated, which increases the exhaust temperature.

  6) If the clearance volume of the cold storage compressor is large or the starting auxiliary valve is leaking, it is equivalent to a large suction superheat, which will increase the discharge temperature of the cold storage compressor.

The horizontal condenser of some refrigeration plants has been used for a long time, and some ammonia pipes are blocked due to corrosion and leakage. Many pipes have been blocked and the condenser has not been replaced, which reduces the cooling area and increases the condensation pressure. The discharge temperature of the compressor rises accordingly.

In short, if the discharge temperature of the cold storage compressor is too high, the cause should be carefully investigated to eliminate the excessive discharge temperature and reduce operating costs.
