What should I do if the screw compressor fails

Nowadays, in the summer, the use of air conditioners is increasing. If the screw compressor fails, how to repair it? First, check out where the fault is. After the inspection, repair or replace the damaged parts, as follows:

　　 1. For less severe wear and fuzzing, it can be smoothed by fitter with oilstone. The surface of the rotor journal and the static and dynamic rings of the shaft seal shall not have any defects such as corrosion or cracks. After the surface of the main journal is polished, its dimensions should be carefully measured, and the main bearing should be adjusted based on this.

　　 2. If the main bearing is severely worn and exceeds the clearance limit for the shaft, it should be replaced. If the bearing alloy is cast, the coaxiality of the inner surface and the bearing hole must be ensured.

　　 3. If the thrust bearing is damaged or the clearance increases, it must be replaced with a new one. And the size of the vacuum clearance should be measured, and the bearing adjustment pad should be equipped on this basis.

　　 4. All gaskets and "O" rings must be replaced if they are damaged. The gasket can be processed by yourself, but be careful not to break or crack near the bolt hole to avoid leakage. The gasket should be made of high-quality materials. The "O" ring should be made of materials suitable for the refrigerant.

　　 5. Clean the sealant on both ends of the body and the flat surface of the suction and exhaust end seats. Be careful not to scratch the surface.

　　Of course, the compressor is the "heart" of the entire air conditioner, so it is recommended to find a professional to deal with the problem first.
