Embraco products

Embraco, established in Brazil in 1971, manufactures hermetic compressors, condensing units, and seals for domestic and commercial use. In addition to compressors, Embraco manufactures electrical components, castings, complete refrigeration systems for domestic and commercial refrigeration equipment, as well as electronic components for appliance optimization at its plants in Brazil, Italy, China, Slovakia, and Mexico.

Whirlpool acquired Brazilian compressor manufacturer Embraco in 1997. In 2019, Nidec Corporation completed the acquisition of Embraco, the compressor business of Whirlpool Corporation.

Embraco compressors include the following series:

● Variable Speed Compressors/Embraco inverter compressors such as FMS series, FMX series
