In 1963, SanRex began to manufacture power thyristors and then developed power transistors, IGBTs, and other power semiconductor devices.

Today, SanRex is an international company and a respected supplier of power semiconductors, electroplating rectifiers, lighting ballasts, plasma power supplies, and welding equipment.

SanRex Corporation was established in the United States in 1982. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sansha Electric Mfg. Co., Ltd.
