CAT PUMPS was founded in 1968 in America. The founder William L. Bruggeman was previously a project engineer for a small pressure washer manufacturer in St. Paul, Minnesota. His task was to design a more reliable pump for the pressure washing industry, which led to the invention of the patented "Uniflow" piston pump.

CAT PUMPS high-pressure piston pumps are recognized as the longest-lasting and most reliable pumps in the industry. CAT PUMPS piston pumps have performance ranges from 3.0 GPM to 60 GPM (11.3 to 227 LPM) and 100 PSI to 1,500 PSI (6.9 to 103 BAR).

CAT piston pumps have excellent suction capabilities and usually do not require an overflow suction pump or booster pump. Pumps are available with brass, 316 stainless steel manifolds, and 304 stainless steel valve assemblies.
