Impulse Automation Ltd was established in 1960 as H. Kuhnke Ltd and is part of the global Kuhnke group of companies.
Ellis Kuhnke Controls was founded in New Jersey in 1964 by G Corson Ellis in collaboration with Helmut Kuhnke from Germany.
In May 2013, KENDRION NV, a Dutch company, acquired Kuhnke AG.
In 2004, the Kuhnke relay division was sold to Song Chuan Precision Company Ltd in China.
