The RTL8195AM is a dedicated and highly integrated SoC designed by Realtek for the IoT market. This SoC integrates Wi-Fi, MCU, high-speed interface (USB and SDIO), serial interface (SPI, UART, and I2C), and analog interface (ADC and DAC). The RTL8195AM is the world’s first low-power Wi-Fi IoT SoC to implement Ethernet and NFC. To satisfy green power requests, Realtek employed new low-power architecture with an ultra-low leak process. Additionally, open and lightweight protocols are implemented in the SoC to allow very low power consumption in different modes. This technology has reduced average power consumption to 1/10 of that found in a conventional Wi-Fi solution. The low-power design is perfectly suited to battery-powered applications, and fully complies with green appliance regulations.
