Samsung Compressor MSV488A-L1RI have to give it five stars because it does the job. Weighing in the correct charge is next to impossible without professional tools, and you must account for what remains in the manifold gauge. Dialing it in was tricky, and you should watch the current while you're doing it. In the end, my fridge was optimum at 0 psi suction (just above vacuum), and 100-120 psi high side, and uses 85-95 watts in free space and up to 105 watts pushed up against the wall. I had weird pressures when equalizing, and suspected a restriction somewhere, but air blew through the capillary tube just fine. If you unplug it for whatever reason, don't forget the refrigerant will migrate to the freezer coil due to the temperature difference. With the wisdom of hindsight, I would have just used a $100 compressor, and tapped a relay into the condenser fan to energize the compressor. If this compressor doesn't last, that is exactly what I will do. Throwing away a $3000 refrigerator after less than 10 years use is an extravagant waste, and I'll replace both coils, the compressor, and use a PID controller if I have to.HelpfulUnhelpful - L
