Firstly, I would need a valve with a 1-inch pipe size and a 24-volt AC coil, made of high-quality materials that resist corrosion and wear. Secondly, the valve must have a high-pressure rating to ensure reliable operation in the high-pressure environment of the boiler system. While the Honeywell Solenoid Valve VK4105C1009 is a good choice for my particular application, its limited pressure rating of 10 PSI and temperature range of -40°F to 175°F are potential concerns. To address this, I may consider upgrading to the Honeywell VR8345M4302 gas valve, which has a maximum pressure rating of 14 PSI and is designed for high-pressure burner applications.
