Air compressor industry application-spraying industry

Air spraying is a coating technology widely used in the spraying industry. Compressed air is the main power source of the air spray system. The method of using compressed air to atomize the paint through a spray gun is widely used in various industries such as automobiles, hardware, and furniture.

Air spraying can be said to be a spraying method with convenient operation, easy color change, high production efficiency, good atomization effect, and high-quality surface with fine rust.

In air spraying, the main purpose of the air machine system is to provide stable, pollution-free compressed air. With the continuous improvement of the spraying process, users have higher and higher requirements for quality. Since compressed air is in contact with the paint, the user must ensure that the compressed air supplied to the spray gun is dry, oil-free, water-free, and free of impurities, otherwise it will seriously affect the coating quality.

Particle impurities are the natural enemies of spraying, and their existence seriously affects the surface quality of the coating film. Not only directly affects the appearance of the coating film, but also directly affects the first pass rate of the coating. Especially in the application of high-level decorative products, the paint surface must be smooth, free of particles, and bright as a mirror, which means that the surface of the product is not allowed to have particulate impurities.

The oil or water in the compressed air will cause shrinkage, pinholes, bubbles, pitting and other quality defects. Shrinkage is one of the most taboo disadvantages of the spraying process. It not only affects the appearance quality of the coating film, but also the exposed bottom shrinkage will damage the integrity of the coating film, and it cannot be eliminated by ordinary polishing and polishing methods. And once the shrinkage phenomenon occurs, it is difficult to find the cause and eliminate it in a short time, and it will also cause the production to fail to proceed normally. If the electrophoresis tank is contaminated and causes shrinkage, even if the pollution source is found and eliminated in time, it may take several weeks or months to affect.

During spraying construction, the pressure of compressed air should not fluctuate greatly and must be controlled within a certain range. If the air pressure is too low, the paint liquid will be insufficiently atomized and the paint film will not be uniform; while the air pressure is too high, although the paint liquid will be atomized well, the paint mist will be too fast and the paint loss will increase. When sprayed on the uncured paint film, it is easy to produce paint film defects such as pits and small bubbles.

The spraying industry must consider the purification of compressed air when using it. For this reason, a reasonable refrigerated dryer, filter and air storage tank should be equipped to purify the compressed air. And when buying an air compressor, choose a reliable, stable and efficient air compressor to ensure compressed air quality, improve production efficiency, and enhance product competitiveness.
