If you are a PC gamer or a worker who needs to perform high-intensity calculations, then you must have a deep
understanding of the CPU temperature problem. High temperatures not only affect your PC's performance, but they can
also take a toll on the CPU's lifespan. At this time, the CPU liquid cooler can come in handy.
Compared with traditional air coolers, CPU liquid coolers are more efficient and quiet. The liquid cooler can
effectively control the temperature of the CPU within a suitable range to ensure the stability and life of the
computer. At the same time, the temperature of the CPU liquid cooler will not rise in a straight line like that of
the CPU air cooler under high load conditions, which greatly improves your comfort and experience when using a
computer.
So how to choose a suitable CPU liquids cooler? Today some high-quality flagship liquid CPU coolers are recommended
below:
1. Corsair H150i RGB PRO XT liquid CPU cooler
2. NZXT Kraken Z73 360mm AIO liquid CPU cooler
3. Tt (Thermaltake) Floe Riing RGB series liquid CPU cooler
4. ASUS ROG RYUJIN II 360 AIO liquid CPU cooler
5. NZXT Kraken X73 360mm AIO liquid CPU cooler
6. DeepCool Ice Castle 360 AIO liquid CPU cooler
1. Corsair H150i RGB PRO XT Liquid CPU Cooler
Features: only see its shape, not hear its sound
Figure 2: Corsair H150i RGB PRO XT liquid CPU cooler.
Founded in 1994, Corsair is one of the largest memory suppliers in the world. Its products have excellent
performance and high quality. It has OEM cooperation with many world-renowned computer manufacturers, and its
products are well received by gamers, overclockers and enthusiasts all over the world.
The H150i PRO is the only three-fan liquid cooler from Corsair. It uses a 360mm radiator and is specially designed
for low-noise cooling. The fan can reach up to 1600 RPM, and the noise is 25 decibels, which is
lower than that of the dual-fan H100i v2, 37.68 decibels. The pump head is equipped with RGB LED, and the design is
bold and avant-garde. It is a water cooling product integrating high performance, low noise and good appearance.
However, due to its long radiator, it needs a huge case space, so it is recommended to measure the size of the case
before buying, so as to avoid a wrong purchase.
2. NZXT Kraken Z73 360mm AIO Liquid CPU Cooler
Features: LCD display, real-time temperature control, optional 360mm/280mm
Figure 3: NZXT Kraken Z73 360mm AIO liquid CPU cooler.
NZXT is a brand from North America, which is very popular in the market. The biggest feature of NZXT Kraken Z73/Z63
is that it is equipped with a visual LCD screen. You can set image, GIF animation or CPU temperature and other
system information on the LCD screen through NZXT’s own CAM software, which is relatively personalized.
Of course, in addition to the innovation in appearance, its heat dissipation performance is also very powerful. It
adopts 30mm thick cooling radiator, Aer P120/P140 fan, and chamfered air intake and fluid dynamic (hydraulic)
bearing design, featured by quiet operation, durability and excellent heat dissipation performance. There are
currently two models, Z73/Z63, corresponding to 360 and 280 radiators respectively.
3. Tt (Thermaltake) Floe Riing RGB Series Liquid CPU Cooler
Features: Tens of millions of colors lighting effects, three specifications optional, wide coverage
Figure 4: Floe Riing RGB 360 TT Liquid CPU Cooler.
Thermaltake, called "Tt" by players, is a world-renowned manufacturer of computer DIY accessories, and has launched
many classic products on computer coolers. The Floe Riing series is the first 16.8 million colors RGB LED AIO liquid
cooler in the DIY market. It is also the "true RGB" water cooling that players often say. It has two 120mm Riing
Plus RGB patented design water cooling fans, one LED luminous water cooling head, and a high-efficiency water
cooling radiator.
Players can easily switch the water cooling head and fan lighting effects through the patented Riing Plus RGB
software and mobile APP, and can also monitor the operating status of the fan and the temperature of the computer.
The Floe Riing series has three specifications: 240mm, 280mm, and 360mm, which can be adapted to various
medium-sized and above chassis.
The maximum speed of the fan is 1640 RPM, and the noise is 6 decibels lower than that of the Corsair H100i V2. When
it comes to the highest cooling capacity, the Corsair with the faster speed wins, but Floe Riing performs better at
the same level.
4. ASUS ROG RYUJIN II 360 AIO Liquid CPU Cooler
Features: 3.5-inch LCD display water cooling head with a built-in fan
Figure 5: ASUS ROG RYUJIN II 360 AIO liquid CPU cooler.
ASUS's RYUJIN II has directly upgraded the screen of the water cooling head to 3.5 inches compared with the first
generation of RYUJIN. There is a 60mm fan in the water cooling head, which can circulate air to the components
around the CPU and reduce the ambient temperature. The radiator cooling fan uses the industrial-grade cooling fan of
the famous air-cooling brand Noctua.
In the actual test, the performance of the 360mm RYUJIN II is 1°C lower than that of Corsair’s H150i Elite Capellix.
RYUJIN II has two specifications of 240 and 360, but the basic version of the fan has no lighting effects. If you
need lights, it is recommended to buy the ARGB version.
5. NZXT Kraken X73 360mm AIO Liquid CPU Cooler
Features: slightly loud noise, but good performance
Figure 6: NZXT Kraken X73 360mm AIO liquid CPU cooler.
Kraken X73 is a 360mm AIO liquid cooling product under NZXT, and it is the sub-flagship product of NZXT. The overall
performance is not much different from the flagship Z73 except that the thickness of the radiator is reduced to
27mm. The only difference is its RGB function. The water block does not have the cool LCD screen like the Z73, but
uses the traditional RGB light ring.
In general, the X73 has similar performance to the Z73, but the LCD screen is removed, and the price is
correspondingly much cheaper. Therefore, if you are not interested in the LCD screen water block, it is recommended
to buy this product.
6. DeepCool Ice Castle 360 AIO Liquid CPU Cooler
Features: the 4th generation self-developed water pump, excellent cooling effect
Figure 7: DeepCool Ice Castle 360 AIO liquid CPU cooler.
Many product lines of DeepCool are well-known in the market. Ice Castle 360 is a product launched based on the 4th
generation high-performance water pump. The water pump still uses a ceramic shaft and a three-phase motor, but the
maximum speed directly reaches 3100 RPM, which is nearly 600 rpm higher than that of the Castle series. The FC120
cooling fan is also much better than the Castle series in terms of air volume and air pressure.
In the actual test, Ice Castle 360 can handle it calmly whether it is dissipating heat for i7-12700K or i9-12900K.
The temperature is only 86 or 87°C under the power consumption of about 230W, which can keep up with the flagship
products of the top manufacturers and has a high quality with lower price.
