Causes and solutions for low energy efficiency of air energy heat pump units

Air-energy heat pump water heaters are generally used in large places such as hotels, schools, hospitals, bathing centers, etc. Most of them require 24 hours a day to provide hot water. The hot water unit needs to work for a long time, which may cause overloading of electronic components. The increase in the amount of waterways and waterways will cause a series of chain problems, such as low energy efficiency, increased use costs, and energy-saving effects.

   There are three common reasons for the low energy efficiency of air-energy heat pump water heaters.

   1. Check whether the voltage is running within the rated range of the unit. If there is no problem with the voltage, just check whether the compressor is running normally, and rule out the illusion of the unit running due to idling of the fan. The next step is to confirm whether the water consumption matches the unit, and rule out that the unit will not stop working when the overall temperature drops due to the continuous entry of cold water into the water tank and the workload will increase. The next step is to check whether the sensors of the control system have any faults and remove them.

   2. The unit crashed due to low temperature and could not be started. When the temperature is lower than 0℃, the air source heat pump water heater will enter the shutdown state. When the temperature rises, the unit still cannot start normally, or the fan rotates, but the compressor does not work.

   3. The working of the unit is controlled by the controller. For example, although the unit has been working for a long time, it does not reach the shutdown parameters set by the system, or the unit starts to work when the detected temperature is lower than the set range value. Eliminate the low heat-carrying capacity of the refrigerant and the excessively high set temperature. It is also possible that the temperature sensor malfunctions or the sensing line is short-circuited or disconnected, which causes the unit to stop.

   Generally, the reason that the air source heat pump water heater works for a long time is the unreasonable ratio of the unit. For example, the water distribution volume of the unit is 3 tons, and the designed z* long working time is 18 hours, but when the water distribution volume reaches 5 tons, the unit will work for a long time and cannot be shut down.

Solution:

1. Check whether the compressor is damaged. Use a universal meter to check the resistance of the compressor. After confirming that the compressor is not faulty, focus on checking the control systems, and then check the circuit, waterway, and temperature according to the unit's factory instructions or engineering system design acceptance report. Set parameters and measured data, find out non-conforming items and correct them accordingly. When using a solenoid valve to control the water supply, check the sensitivity of the water level sensor and the size of the water pressure to make sure it is not a problem with the water level data.

   2. The control system determines whether the unit is running or not. Check each set protection parameter value item by item, such as the water temperature difference control circuit. The system cannot be started when the signal is not collected, because the unit opening is controlled by the three parameters of heat exchanger temperature, water collection tank temperature and set temperature. When the collected water storage tank temperature is lower than a certain value of the set temperature, the unit will start. When the water temperature of the heat collection part is higher than a certain value of the water storage tank temperature, the ring will start. When the temperature of the water collection tank cannot be collected, the unit will protect itself. Does not start. In addition, the voltage is too low or too high, the refrigerant leaks, the compressor low-pressure protection or the compressor has been broken, etc., can cause the unit to fail to start. When the cold water pressure is not enough, the water storage tank cannot be filled with water, and the unit will also be protected from starting.
