Several common causes of compressor bearing damage

There are many important precision parts in first-class compressors, and the most worn part during regular operation is the bearing, so the bearing is one of the parts that need frequent maintenance and replacement. However, in actual use, the cause of damage to the compressor bearings is not only wear. Let's take a look at other common causes.

   1. If the compressor is left unused for a long time, the grease used for lubrication will deteriorate and the bearing will be damaged due to rust.

  2. Each type of compressor needs to use the corresponding grease type. If the grease is mixed for a long time, it will cause damage to the bearing.

  3. If the bearing is re-replaced and processed, the improper nesting of the motor end cover will cause uneven ball clearance in the bearing and increase friction during operation. The bearing will burn out due to a sharp rise in temperature.

  4. If there is uncleaned grease in the bearing cavity, or grease containing impurities is added, the bearing raceway will be damaged during operation and the bearing will be burned due to excessive temperature.

  5. The compressor bearing itself has quality problems such as raceway rust spots, inflexibility, excessive clearance, and deformation of the cage.

  6. Due to the axial misalignment of the stator and rotor cores, the position of the inner and outer rings of the bearing changes, which will cause the bearing to run hard and be damaged.

7. Improper assembly of the bearing, such as the phenomenon of running the inner ring due to uneven knocking of the inner ring of the bearing during cold installation; and the end cover caused by uneven knocking when installing the motor end cover The bearing chamber and the outer ring of the bearing are too loose to run out of the outer ring.

The seven aspects introduced above are several common causes of compressor bearing damage. Bearings play a very important role when the compressor is working. Therefore, for cost-effective compressors, it is necessary to maintain the bearings and deal with or replace problems in time to avoid damage to the equipment.
