Useless for a lifetime. Dehumidification and refrigeration of air conditioners are completely different!

This summer, the heavy rain that has come in New York caught many friends off guard, and the humid and sultry weather made the big guys complain. A small partner told the author that at this time, dehumidification is enough. The air conditioner does not need to be cooled. It can also remove the moisture in the house. It saves electricity. It can do two things with one stone. Let me give it a try. In fact, I want to tell you that the cooling mode and dehumidification mode of the air conditioner are different in terms of their characteristics and operating principles.

Refrigeration: The refrigerant vaporizes in the indoor evaporator of the air conditioner to take away heat, so that the indoor air flowing through the evaporator fins is cooled. The vaporized refrigerant is compressed and liquefied by the compressor outside to release heat and transfer the heat to the outdoor air through the heat sink. Such continuous circulation achieves the effect of cooling indoor air.

Dehumidification: In the process of cooling, the temperature of humid air will drop significantly after passing through the evaporator of the air conditioner. The humidity of the air is in a supersaturated state. The excess water vapor is precipitated in the form of condensed water and condenses on the fins of the evaporator. It is "condensation". When the cooling mode reaches a certain equilibrium state, the air humidity will drop to a certain level.

The difference between air conditioning dehumidification and refrigeration—the same and different points of air conditioning dehumidification and refrigeration

   1. The similarities between air-conditioning refrigeration and dehumidification:

Air-conditioning operation in refrigeration mode must remove water vapor while reducing the air temperature; air-conditioning operation dehumidification mode must also reduce the air temperature while removing water vapor; therefore, regardless of cooling or dehumidification, reducing air temperature and removing water vapor. The two are inseparable. Regardless of cooling or dehumidification, when the hot indoor air passes through the heat exchanger of the indoor unit of the air conditioner, the water vapor in the hot air is condensed at low temperature into condensed water, and the condensed water is discharged to the outside through the drain pipe; at the same time, the cold air after heat exchange is discharged from the air conditioner The tuyere blows out.

  2. The difference between air conditioning and dehumidification

Refrigeration: To reduce the air temperature as the purpose, while removing water vapor. Select the cooling mode, the cooling temperature and wind speed can be adjusted up or down. The air conditioner operates in the cooling mode according to the manually selected temperature and wind speed to achieve the purpose of reducing the air temperature (at the same time discharging condensate), and the cold wind blowing out is relatively strong.

Dehumidification: For the purpose of removing water vapor, while reducing the air temperature, select the dehumidification mode. The temperature and wind speed of dehumidification cannot be adjusted up or down. The air conditioner operates in the dehumidification mode according to the automatically set low temperature and low wind speed to achieve the purpose of removing water vapor in the air (and blowing out cold air at the same time), and the cold wind blowing out is relatively weak. For the purpose of removing water vapor, while reducing the air temperature.
