What is the basis for the rated flow when selecting the filter

When selecting a filter, the rated capacity should not be selected according to the diameter of the pipe, but the nominal flow of the filter (nameplate flow) should be selected according to the volumetric flow of the compressed air passing through the filter. During normal operation, the filter element bears very little pressure (usually Below 5% of air source pressure), so it is not affected by compressed air pressure. However, the volume flow of compressed air that the same filter element can handle is related to the pressure. The greater the pressure, the greater the amount of air allowed to pass; otherwise, the flow rate must be reduced. The selection formula is as follows:

The nominal flow rate of the filter (Nm3/min) = the amount of air to be processed/pressure correction coefficient β

The pressure correction factor β can be selected according to the data provided by the manufacturer.
