The MIC520 5 is a n efficient linear vol tage regulato r with ultra lo w-noise output, very low d ropout voltage (typ ically 17mV at light loads a nd 1 65mV at 150 mA), and very low ground curre nt (600⎧A at 100mA outp ut). The MIC5205 offers better than 1% initial accuracy. Designed e specially fo r hand -held, battery-p owered devices, the MIC5205 includes a CMOS or TTL compatible enable/shutdown co ntrol input. When shut down, power consumption drops n early to zero. Regulator ground current increases only slightly in dropout, furthe r prolonging battery life. Key MIC520 5 feature s include a refe rence bypa ss pin to improve it s alrea dy excelle nt low-n oise performance, reversed-battery prote ction, cu rrent limiting, and overtemperature shutdown. The MIC5 205 is availa ble in fixed an d adju stable output voltage versions in a small SOT-23-5 package.
