Brief introduction of magnetic suspension refrigeration compressor technology

Brief introduction of magnetic suspension refrigeration compressor technology Magnetic bearing is a high-tech product. Due to its high price, it was only used in aerospace engineering in the past. In 1993, Australia Multistack established a TURBOCORRD department, specializing in the application of magnetic bearings in refrigeration compressors. After 10 years, this research was finally successful. Magnetic bearing refrigeration compressors have been able to apply refrigeration and air-conditioning products. This technology won the Energy Innovation Award at the Chicago ASHRAE / AHR exhibition in 2003. In traditional refrigeration compressors, mechanical bearings are a necessary component, and there is a need for lubricating oil and a lubricating oil circulation system to ensure the operation of mechanical bearings. Of all the burned compressors, only 90% are actually caused by the failure of lubrication. The mechanical bearings not only produce frictional losses, but the lubricating oil enters the heat exchanger with the refrigeration cycle. The oil film formed on the heat transfer surface becomes a thermal resistance, which affects the efficiency of the heat exchanger. Cooling efficiency has a big impact. Therefore, the mechanical bearings have to have something in the compressor. Magnetic levitation bearing is a kind of use of magnetic field to suspend the rotor, so that there will be no mechanical contact and mechanical friction when rotating, and mechanical bearings and the necessary lubrication system for mechanical bearings are no longer needed. When using magnetic bearings in refrigeration compressors, all the troubles caused by lubricating oil will no longer exist. This new type of refrigeration compressor uses magnetic levitation bearing technology. This new type of compressor is also a two-stage compressor centrifugal compressor. Among various refrigeration compressors, centrifugal compressors usually have the most ideal efficiency. The new compressor also incorporates digital frequency conversion control technology. The speed of the compressor can be adjusted between 15000rpm and 48000rpm, so that the compressor's cooling capacity can work at a minimum of 20% of the load. Digital control technology makes the compressor the world's first digital compressor, and it can even be classified as an electrical product. The frictionless and centrifugal compression methods enable the compressor to achieve full load efficiency up to COP = 5.6, and the frequency conversion control technology enables the compressor to achieve extremely excellent partial load efficiency of IPLV = 0.41kW / ton. The frequency conversion control also enables the compressor to start up with only a weak current of 6A, while other compressors with the same cooling capacity need at least 500 ~ 600A of starting current. 1. 48% higher operating efficiency: Especially under partial load conditions, the compressor saves 48% energy compared with other brands of the same model. This special performance can realize its on-site or remote monitoring through a network-based monitoring and diagnostic system. 2. No need for lubricating oil, maintenance cost is 50% lower than oil-containing compressor: Oil-free is achieved after decades of struggle in industry. The oil-free design not only eliminates the possibility of reducing efficiency due to oil pollution, but also eliminates oil management accessories: oil heater, oil pump, oil separator, oil filter, etc. 3. Ultra-light body design: A 120 ton compressor weighs only 295 pounds, which is equivalent to 1/5 of the weight of some traditional machines. 4. Ultra-quiet operation process: The sound during operation is less than 70 decibels, the compressor is so quiet that if you are under the background noise of the typical equipment, you can't hear it running. 5. Redefined soft start: The compressor redefines soft start, requiring only 2 amps of starting current, while traditional compressors require 500 to 600 amps.
