Cylinder piston sealing ring is essential for the normal functions of the cylinder. The piston sealing ring prevents fluid from bypassing the piston, otherwise it will reduce the pressure difference at both ends of the piston, thereby reducing the force that the cylinder can exert to work. Generally, there are two kinds of cylinder sealing elements, one is compression sealing ring, and the other is pneumatic sealing ring.

The piston is a component bearing pressure in the cylinder. Sealing ring designed on the cylinder piston aims to prevent gas in the left and right chambers of cylinder from blowing. Wear-resistant ring designed on piston can enhance guidance quality, reduce wear and tear of cylinder piston sealing ring, and lower friction drag. Materials of Cylinder Piston Sealing Ring

There are two commonly used materials for cylinder piston sealing ring, one is pure PTFE, also known as polytetrafluoroethylene, and the other is PTFE added graphite or PTFE added carbon fiber material. PTFE piston ring, guidance ring and throttle ring are new sealing materials to replace asbestos packing and cast steel piston ring. They have the characteristics of wear resistance, high temperature resistance, long service life, convenient maintenance and replacement.

Solutions to Air Leakage in Cylinder Piston Sealing Ring

The reason why there is internal and external leakage during the process of use is that the piston rod is eccentric in the installation process, so that the supply of lubricant is insufficient, and the sealing ring of the equipment will be damaged and worn.

When there is internal and external leakage in the cylinder, it is necessary to readjust the center of the piston rod, so as to effectively ensure the piston rod and cylinder barrel to a certain extent are coaxial. During operation, it is necessary to regularly check whether the work of the atomized lubricator is reliable to ensure good lubrication of the action elements.

When the sealing ring in the cylinder is worn or damaged, it must be replaced in time; if there are impurities in the cylinder, they should be removed in time; and when there are scars on the piston rod, they should be replaced.
The reason why its action is unstable and its output force is insufficient in use is that its piston or piston rod is stuck. Therefore, it is necessary to adjust the center of its piston rod, and check whether the work of atomized lubricator is reliable and air supply is blocked in an effective way.
The reason why the cushion effect of cylinder is in poor conditions is that its cushion sealing ring is worn or its adjusting screw is damaged. Under such circumstance, it is necessary to replace the sealing ring and adjusting screw.
During the operation of the cylinder, the requirements for users are low. The principle and structure of the cylinder are relatively simple. It is easy to install and maintain. Engineers must equip certain electrical knowledge, otherwise the chances are that incorrect operation may cause damage.
