1. In 1905, Frenchman Leon Creux proposed the working principle of scroll machinery and applied for a US patent.

   2. The emergence of high-precision CNC milling machines in the 1970s and the aggravation of the world's energy crisis promoted the development of scroll compressors.

  3. In 1972, the American ArthurDLittle Company successfully developed a scroll compressor to compress helium, and applied it to ocean-going ships, marking the arrival of the practical era of scroll compressors.

  4. In the 1980s, scroll compressors first achieved commercial applications in the field of air-conditioning compressor technology.    Series products of scroll compressors came out one after another in the 1990s. Scroll air compressors have also been developed.

Prospects of scroll refrigeration compressors

   Looking at the current research status and application of scroll refrigeration compressors, the research and development direction of scroll compressors in the next few years is summarized as follows:

    (1) Reduce the processing cost of scroll refrigeration compressors, mainly the processing of scrolls. Looking for a simple way to process complex lines with good performance.

    (2) To study the new requirements of new environmentally friendly refrigerants on the structure of scroll refrigeration compressors.

     (3) Increase the power range of scroll refrigeration compressors and broaden its application fields, especially to study its frequency conversion characteristics and its application in air conditioning heat pumps.

    (4) Improve the balance mechanism of the compressor, especially the balance of axial gas force. Reduce gas leakage and reduce mechanical friction loss, thereby improving the efficiency and reliability of scroll refrigeration compressors.

   (5) Strengthen experimental research on actual operation, establish a unified system for the corresponding development of scroll refrigeration compressor theory and experiment, and ensure the accuracy of the development direction of scroll refrigeration compressors based on other types of compressors. .

(6) Establish the modular mathematical model of the system including compressor oil cooling, oil supply, motor and other external systems to make it universal; and strengthen the internal thermodynamic and dynamic characteristics of the compressor on the original basis. Research and analyze the working process of the compressor under various operating conditions more comprehensively;

  (7) Expand scroll refrigeration compressor models, and break the gap in scroll compressors with large capacity (> 2 L/min). 

  (8) Improve the processing technology of the scroll refrigeration compressor to ensure the performance and quality of the compressor. 

    (9) Enhance the market competitiveness of scroll refrigeration compressors. On the basis of ensuring performance and quality, reduce production costs and operating costs, thereby reducing product prices and realizing mass production.
