The centrifugal fan is a device that relies on the input mechanical energy to increase the pressure of the air and discharge the air. It is a driven fluid machine. Centrifugal fans can be used in a variety of industries, such as mines, tunnels, cooling towers, vehicles, ships, etc.

In production, the centrifugal fan is used for ventilation and heat dissipation in factories, workshops and warehouses. It accelerates the circulation of the air, ensures the fluidity of the air, and contributes to the preservation of mechanical equipment and industrial products.

In daily life, it can also be used for cooling and ventilation in air conditioning equipment and household appliances. It promotes the replacement of fresh air, so that there is plenty of fresh air inside the device. The following describes the four types of uses of centrifugal fans:

1. Ventilation and Air Induction

Centrifugal fans are widely used in boilers and industrial furnaces. They mainly play the role of ventilation and air induction. It adjusts the ambient air flow in a boiler room or industrial furnace on the one hand and allows the replacement of oxygen-enriched air on the other. It makes the fire of a boiler or kiln more intense. It can save coal and other power resources to a certain extent and reduce the production cost of enterprises.

2. Ventilation, Cooling, and Dust Removal

In factories, workshops, warehouses and other departments are equipped with centrifugal fans. They act as ventilation and keep the air in the workshop clean, which helps to purify the working environment and is good for the health of the employees. At the same time, the factory warehouse is equipped with centrifugal fans to dry the air to ensure that the mechanical equipment or other industrial products maintain the original quality.

Centrifugal fans are installed in mines and tunnels to help air circulation and discharge exhaust gas; it can also discharge dust, improve air transparency, and benefit the health of workers in mine tunnels.

The centrifugal fan in the cooling tower plays the role of ventilation and ensures the normal operation of the cooling tower. Moreover, the large flow of air generated by the centrifugal fan can also improve the cooling effect of the cooling tower.

3. Inflation and Propulsion

Centrifugal fans can also create artificial wind for filming or other situations where natural wind is required; it can also inflate inflatable objects such as a hovercraft, or propel a fast hovercraft forward.

4. Home Ventilation and Cooling

In daily life, many household appliances, especially household air conditioners, are equipped with the centrifugal fan. It plays the role of heat dissipation and ventilation in these devices. Besides, it circulates the air, keeping it fresh and cool on hot summer days. It keeps dry, fresh air indoors at all times, thereby reducing the incidence of colds, respiratory diseases and other diseases.
The centrifugal fan is used in many aspects of production and daily life. It is becoming an indispensable mechanical device in human society.
