Lubrication characteristics and requirements of mobile air compressors

   1. The characteristics of the mobile air compressor are: (1) The mobile air compressor should be easy to move frequently, the working conditions are changeable, and the load changes greatly. (2) Mobile air compressors are mostly heavy-duty, medium-speed or low-speed transmission, and most require frequent starting and often withstand shock loads; (3) The field environment is harsh, humid, rock dust, coal dust and gas (main components It is methane), and some harmful gases containing sulfur (sulfur dioxide, hydrogen sulfide), so many mobile air compressors have to encounter fire-proof, explosion-proof, and anti-corrosion problems; (4) outdoor mobile air compressors must be able to Withstand wind, sun, rain, hot summer and cold winter and other climate changes; (5) Due to the small space, the maintenance of the machine is difficult, so the mobile air compressor is required to be durable and easy to maintain.

2. According to the characteristics of the mobile air compressor, the following requirements are put forward for the lubricating oil: (1) The volume of the mobile air compressor and the volume of the oil tank are small, the amount of lubricating oil installed is also small, and the oil temperature is relatively high during operation. High, which requires lubricating oil to have better thermal stability and oxidation resistance. (2) Because of the harsh outdoor environment, with more coal dust, rock dust, and moisture, the lubricating oil is inevitably contaminated by these impurities. Therefore, the lubricating oil is required to have better anti-rust, anti-corrosion and anti-emulsification properties; lubricating oil is required When it is polluted, its performance will not change too much, that is, the sensitivity to pollution is small. (3) The temperature of the open-air machinery varies greatly in winter and summer, and the temperature difference between day and night is also large in some areas. Therefore, the viscosity of lubricating oil is required to be small with temperature. It is necessary to avoid that the viscosity of the oil becomes too low when the temperature is high. The formation of a lubricating film does not provide the necessary lubrication, and it is necessary to avoid too high viscosity when the temperature is low, which may cause difficulty in starting and running. (4) For some mobile air compressors, especially some machinery used in environments prone to fire and explosion accidents, it is required to use a lubricant (anti-flammable liquid) with good flame resistance, and flammable mineral oil cannot be used. (5) The adaptability of the lubricant to the seal is required to avoid damage to the seal.
