Spindle Amplifier Alarm Codes and Solutions
The following is a continuation of the previous article, and introduces FANUC spindle drive alarm codes 47-73.
Alarm Code 47
Fault content: The pulse count value of the α position encoder signal is abnormal.
The A and B phases of the position encoder have 4096p/rev feedback pulses per revolution of the spindle. SPM checks the pulse counts of the A and B phases of the position encoder when generating the signal per revolution, and an alarm occurs if it is not within the specified range.
Troubleshooting method:
(1) An alarm occurs when the cable is touched (spindle movement, etc.).
The wire may be broken, please replace the cable. If cutting oil penetrates into the connector part, please clean it.
(2) Troubleshooting in other situations
(a) The parameter setting is incorrect. Please confirm the sensor setting parameters.
(b) The shielding treatment of the cable between the sensor and the SPM is poor. Check the shielding treatment of the cable.
(c) It is tied with the power line of the servo motor. If the cables from the sensor to the SPM are tied together with the servo motor power cables, tie them separately.
(d) Poor SPM. Please replace the SPM or SPM control printed circuit board.
Alarm Code 50
Fault content: The internal calculation processing during spindle synchronous control exceeds the allowable value.
Troubleshooting method:
(a) Poor setting of gear ratio parameters. Check whether the gear ratio data is incorrectly set to an excessively large value.
(b) Setting limit of position gain. When the gear ratio data is correct, decrease the value of the position gain during spindle synchronization.
Fanuc spindle drive alarm 51: DC Link with Low Voltage
Fault content: Detecting a decrease in the input voltage (the common power supply alarm displays 4) , instant power outage, or poor MC contact.
Troubleshooting method:
(a) Check the control voltage.
(b) Re -plug and pull, or replace the plug.
Alarm Code 52, 53
Fault content: An error was detected in the interface between the CNC and the spindle amplifier (Stop of ITP signal).Troubleshooting method:
(a) Poor SPM. Please replace the SPM or SPM control printed circuit board.
(b) Defective CNC. Please replace the serial spindle related board or module.
Alarm Code 54
Fault content: It is detected that a large current flows through the motor for a long time.
Troubleshooting method: See Alarm Code 29 for troubleshooting of this alarm.
Alarm Code 55
Fault content: During spindle switching control or output switching control, the switching request signal (SPSL or RSL) and the power line status confirmation signal (MCFN, MFNHG or RCH, RCHHG) continue to be inconsistent during the motor excitation process.
Troubleshooting method:
(a) The electromagnetic contactor (switching device) for switching the power line has poor contact. When the contacts do not work, please confirm the power supply of the electromagnetic contactor. If it cannot be repaired, please replace.
(b) The program (ladder diagram) is wrong. Please correct the program and do not switch during excitation.
Alarm Code 56
Fault content: The cooling fan of the control circuit unit has stopped.
Troubleshooting method:
(a) Installation problem of control board. Please press the panel firmly. This alarm may be displayed when the connector connecting the control board to the power board is out of alignment.
(b) Please replace the SPM or replace the internal cooling fan of the SPM.
Alarm Code 57: Inverter Deceleration Power too Large
Fault content:
(a) Detect the renewable resistance overload;
(b) Detect the short -term overload of the thermostat;
(c) Detect the renewable resistance line disconnected or abnormal resistance value
Troubleshooting method:
(a)Decrease the acceleration / deceleration speed and increase the acceleration / deceleration time constant.
(b) Replace the cooling fan.
(c) Replace the resistance.
Alarm Code 58: Inverter Circuit Overload
Fault content: Under differential mode, the temperature of the common power radiator is abnormally increased.
Troubleshooting method:
(a) Check the cooling situation of the common power supply.
(b) Replace the common power supply.
Fanuc Spindle Amplifier Alarm 59: Colding fan failure of the inverter
Fault content: Common power cooling fan stops.
Troubleshooting method: Replace the cooling power supply.
Alarm Code 65: Serial Spindle Warning
Fault content: The amount of movement is too large when determining the magnetic pole.
Troubleshooting method:
(a) Check the number of magnetic poles P4011, P4334.
(b) Check the power line phase sequence.
(c) Check the encoder.
(d) Check the motor voltage parameter p4083.
Alarm Code 66
Fault content: An error occurs in the communication between the spindle amplifiers (connector JX4).
Troubleshooting method:
(a) Please confirm the connection.
(b) Please replace the cable.
Alarm Code 69
Fault content: This alarm only occurs when double-check security is used. In the safety signal mode C (the state where the protection device is turned on by inputting a request for the protection device to be turned on), the rotation speed of the spindle motor exceeds the safety speed.
Troubleshooting method:
(a) When the protection device is turned on, please operate within the safe speed range.
(b) Please confirm the safe speed parameter.
(c) Please replace the SPM control printed circuit board.
Alarm Code 70
Fault content: This alarm only occurs when double-check security is used. The connection status of the spindle amplifier does not match the hardware setting.
Troubleshooting method:
(a) Please confirm the connection and setting of SPM.
(b) Please replace the CPU card or the control printed circuit board of the SPM.
Alarm Code 71
Fault content: This alarm only occurs when double-check security is used. An exception occurred in the security parameter.
Troubleshooting method:
(a) Please reset the safety parameters.
(b) Please replace the CPU card or the control printed circuit board of the SPM.
Alarm Code 72
Fault content: This alarm only occurs when double-check security is used. The speed detection judgment result of the spindle amplifier does not match that of the CNC.
Troubleshooting method: Replace the CNC CPU card or the SPM control printed circuit board.
Alarm Code 73
Fault content: The motor sensor signal is disconnected.
Troubleshooting method:
(1) An alarm occurs when the motor excitation is turned off.
(a) The parameter setting is incorrect. Please confirm the sensor setting parameters.
(b) If the cable is broken, replace the cable.
(c) Poor adjustment of the sensor. Please adjust the sensor signal. If adjustment is not possible, or if the signal cannot be observed, replace the connecting cable and sensor. (d) Poor SPM. Please replace the SPM or SPM control printed circuit board.
(2) An alarm occurs when the cable is touched (spindle movement, etc.). The wire may be broken, please replace the cable. If cutting oil penetrates into the connector part, please clean it.
(3) An alarm occurs when the motor rotates.
(a) The shielding treatment of the cable between the sensor and the SPM is poor. Check the shielding treatment of the cable.
(b) It is bundled with the power line of the servo motor. If the cables from the sensor to the SPM are bundled together with the servo motor power cables, bundle them separately.
